1st day 

Less than 20 minutes from the Charmentaise by expressway, join the city of La Rochelle nicknamed Belle et Rebelle climb to the top of the old towers her faithful harbour.  Plan your snack at the central market built in Baltard's style, then admire the beautiful building of the Town Hall . For the coffee, head for the lively terraces of the old harbour. Then return to the depths at the aquarium , stroll through the Gabut district with its wooden houses on stilts and then return to Charruyer's Parc , the city's green lung.

2nd day 

At only 6 kms far from the first pier, escape to the Marais Poitevin Regional Nature Park and navigate the canals aboard a boat, canoe, paddle, electric boat, or pedal boat.

Stroll through the town of Marans, a former commercial port which cannot be seen at first sight, walk in its cobbled streets, observe its painted walls , market halls built in Baltard style , the church with its iron and glass bell tower. Take the time to explore the garden of the town hall , then end with a walk on the quays of Sèvre to admire the many locks and the Charente houses with shimmering shutters. Come breathe the air iodized to Re Island in half an hour driving : loose yourself in the narrow streets, whitewashed from the village of Ars en Ré, succumb to artisanal ice  creams La Martinière in Saint Martin de Ré learn the gestures of salt workers in the Museum from the Marais Salant , contemplate the Whale Lighthouse , enjoy the fine sandy beaches, meet the producers at the Flotte en Ré market , cycle on its pine-lined cycle paths

Embark on an inter-island guided cruise, you will approach Fort Boyard and land on Ile d'Aix : a small crescent on the Atlantic Ocean accessible only by boat from la Rochelle from April to October, It offers very varied landscapes, beautiful Vauban fortifications and a Museum of Mother of Pearl and shells . If you prefer walking, you will walk around it in 2 hours.

4th day                                                choice 1

Enter the tales and legends of the Marais poitevin and visit the Abbey of Maillezais, contemplate the remains of the stone giant. Stroll through the historic center of Fontenay le Comte , enter its castle.

At only 40 minutes driving, take a breath of fresh air in the forest of Mervent , admire the wooden cabins, fall under the spell of Vouvant : the enchanting medieval village that would have been created by the fairy Mélusine in one night and discover the Mélusine Tower.

Take advantage of our land of migration by stopping off at the ornithological reserve - Pôle Nature

from the marshes of Yves.

Immerse yourself in the heart of the Roaring Twenties in Châtelaillon Plage, contemplate the Belle Epoque villas, the casino, the boucholeurs beach , the merry-go-rounds 1900.

Visit the Fouras peninsula , stroll through its cobbled streets, contemplate Fort Enet , go

6th day

Relive in 40 minutes the glory days of Rochefort : visit the Corderie Royale , climb aboard the Fregate l'Hermione , step back in time at the museum of yesteryear shops , get your fill of exoticism at Pierre Loti's house , have a drink at Place Colbert, the place where Les Demoiselles de Rochefort film was shot.

Cross the Charente river aboard the Transporter Bridge at Echillais, in a gondola suspended 120 meters high, admire the sculptures of the lookout path.

Walk on the walls of the citadel fortified by Vauban, Hiers Brouage : former salt capital facing a tragic fate, visit the food granaries, the icehouse , admire the creations of the craftsmen

Locate the steeple in the town of Marennes, famous for its oysters, forge your knowledge in the city ​​of oysters museum , climb to the top of the church steeple, at low tide join Fort Louvois.
